Nobody likes an overcrowded anything, which to me, includes travel destinations. I shy away from highly touristy attractions because all it is is going towards what everyone else thinks is interesting. But in reality everything, and I mean everything, around you is the experience. It's the etiquette of pedestrians and drivers, talking to strangers in the park, the graffiti tagged on the side of a building, or trying to order something at a restaurant. Breathe it all in and embody a day-in-the-life of mentality. Then you'll really get to know a place.
